Miracle Monday: Blake

Happy #MiracleMonday!

Let’s start off this week by meeting 14-year-old Blake. He was diagnosed with uncontrolled epilepsy, cerebral palsy, cortical vision impairment, and a few other medical issues. The recent months have entailed many hospital visits, but Blake and his family are hoping to decrease the number of trips. Blake is known for his joke telling and enjoys writing to his 9 pen pals. Here’s some more fun facts about Blake!

  1. What is your favorite color? Orange and blue
  2. What is your favorite food? Hot dog on a bun
  3. What is your favorite movie? Inside Out
  4. What is your favorite holiday? All of them
  5. Where is your favorite place to be/travel to? To Oma’s (grandma’s) house
  6. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Listening to audio-books from Wolfner Library
  7. What is your favorite game to play? Snakes and Ladders
  8. What are three words to describe you? Funny, snuggler, listener
  9. What is something you want people to know about your experience/ diagnosis/ condition? According to Mom, “there is not one word or diagnosis that defines Blake, so we consider him to be a hodgepodge of several medical conditions. Blake just wants to get to know people and hopefully they will want to get to know him.”

Thanks for letting us get to know you Blake!
