Miracle Monday: Cassidy-Rae

Let’s get to know this 12-year-old animal lover, Cassidy-Rae. C-Rae was diagnosed with cerebral palsy quadriplegia when she was born prematurely. She doesn’t let her diagnosis slow her down and truly enjoys life. Her favorite things are crafts and animals and she enjoys going to CMN and MizzouThon events! Read below to learn some more fun facts about Cassidy-Rae!
- What is are your favorite colors? Pink and Purple
- What are your favorite foods? Pizza, Lasagna, Cheese sticks
- What are your favorite movies? Descendants 1, 2, 3; Jaws movies, and Twister
- Who is your favorite princess/superhero/athlete? I love all princesses, Spiderman, Wonder Woman, Coach Pinkel and Molia!
- What are your favorite holidays? Birthday and Christmas
- Where is your favorite place to be and/or travel? Home on the farm, Disney World, and Clearwater Marine Aquarium
- What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Going to MizzouThon, Theta Chi, CMN, Miss Missouri, and Dream Factory events. I also like riding the tractor on the farm, looking at cows, swimming and doing crafts!
- What is your favorite game to play? Uno
- What are some words that describe you? Happy, Smiley, Loving/Caring, Inspiration, Kind
- What is something you want people to know about your experience/diagnosis/condition? I wouldn’t be here today without MU Children’s Hospital in Columbia. We have had to learn to live day by day. The staff at MU Children’s Hospital are a part of our family. I will never give up and I will keep trying and trying. Someday, I hope there will be a cure for cerebral palsy, spasticity and dystonia. I also hope there will be a medication that will help me, and others, for our muscle tightness.
