Miracle Monday: Declan

Happy #MiracleMonday!

Today we are going to get to know 12-year-old Declan Johnson. He was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy and Strabismus which he had struggled with for some time. However, after Declan was told he was going to be a big brother, he was immediately more motivated to move around and teach his siblings all that he could. When one brother had to undergo the same eye surgery he once had, he kept telling his brother “It’s okay I know exactly what you’re going through, you’re going to be okay.” Declan is the oldest of his 4 younger brothers and has really stepped up as a big brother. Here’s some more fun facts about Declan!

   3. What is your favorite movie? Teen Titans Go! To the Movies
   4. Who is your favorite Disney princess/ super hero/ athlete? Iron Man
   5. What is your favorite holiday? Halloween
   6. Where is your favorite place to be/travel to? Discovery Cove in Florida
   7. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Hanging out with my brothers and playing games
   8. What is your favorite game to play? Minecraft
   9. What are three words to describe you? Funny, smart, and caring
   10. What is something you want people to know about your experience/ diagnosis/ condition? That even though I have Cerebral Palsy, I can still do anything that I set my mind to. I’m not disabled, I’m differently abled.
