Miracle Monday: Shelbi

Happy #MiracleMonday!

Today we are going to start this week off by getting to know Shelbi. 13-year-old Shelbi was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Type 1E (CMT for short.) This is a progressive neuromuscular disease that can be treated by physical therapy and lots of stretching. Shelbi weighs only 60lbs and uses a power wheelchair to help her get around easier. She has helped her mom and dad feel comforted with her disease because of how caring and compassionate she is! Let’s read some more fun facts about Shelbi.

  4. What is your favorite holiday? Halloween
  5. Where is your favorite place to be/travel to? Bahamas
  6. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Drawing and listening to music
  7. What is your favorite game to play? Super Mario Brothers
  8. What are three words to describe you? Tiny, sarcastic, and kind
  9. What is something you want people to know about your experience/ diagnosis/ condition? Even though I have CMT, I’m capable of doing anything. I don’t let my disease define me.
